Daylight savings for 2015 begins on Sunday 4 October 2015 at 2am (Eastern Standard Time), which means that at 2am clocks should be moved forward one hour, to 3am.
What does this mean for Liquor Licensees?
Simply speaking, Licensees who can trade beyond 2am will lose one hour of trade. If your licence allows for trade beyond 2am on a Saturday evening/Sunday morning then you will need to ensure that you take into account the loss of this hours trade on Sunday 4 October.
The VCGLR states that ‘Affected licensees must ensure that they continue to responsibly serve alcohol and meet the conditions of their licence.’
