The aim of the New Entrant Training is to provide an overview of Victorian liquor licensing laws and associated issues. This will enable licensees to comply with their legal obligations and contribute to minimising alcohol-related harm in the community.

    Liquor Control Victria requires that new Licensees and Nominees MUST complete New Entrant Training, which includes our course, before being granted a liquor licence.

    WHAT YOU LEARN:

    Undertaking an approved Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training program gives participants the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to a safe, enjoyable environment in licensed premises.

    Face-to-face RSA training is mandatory for licensees and staff selling, offering or serving liquor for general, on-premises, late night and packaged liquor licenses. Licensees and staff subject to mandatory RSA training requirements have one month from the date on which they first sell, offer for sale or serve liquor on the licensed premises to complete an RSA training program. This initial program must be delivered face-to-face. They will then need to complete the VCGLR approved RSA online refresher course within three years of completing their last RSA training program.

    Our RSA training is delivered face to face which will provide you with instant support and guidance for any questions which may arise. We keep our class sizes low to ensure more one-on-one time with each student.

    THE RSA PROGRAM COVERS A RANGE OF TOPICS INCLUDING:

    • problems associated with excessive consumption;
    • alcohol and the law;
    • the question of who is responsible for RSA;
    • facts about alcohol;
    • improving the atmosphere of your premises; and
    • handling difficult customers.
